When We Are Closed

If you require urgent medical attention outside of normal surgery hours please call NHS111.

An emergency doctor may be able to help you over the telephone or arrange for you to attend the Primary Care Centre at East Riding Community Hospital. If your illness is such that you cannot attend the emergency doctor will arrange to visit you at home.

Please remember, if a visit is arranged, make every effort to make it as easy as possible for the doctor to find you by:

• giving the full address and telephone number
• useful landmarks
• leave a light on or open the curtains if it's dark
• ensure the name or number of your house is clearly visible.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
