Influenza Campaign 2020/21

We are due to receive our influenza vaccinations in late September and will be starting to book patients into appointments as soon as we have dates set up - dates will be from delivery of vaccines up until the end of October currently.

We will be inviting patients on the "shielding list" first (family members of those patients registered at Greengates can also have one too at the same time), closely followed by those patients aged 65 and over along with patients in the designated "at risk" groups.

Those patients aged 50-64 will be invited from November as per the Government guidelines.

From public Health England:

"Please note that people in the 50-64-year old age group will not be vaccinated until November and December, providing there is sufficient vaccine, and no appointments will be offered for this age group until then. This is to ensure that those who are most at risk are vaccinated first.  If you are 50-64 and you are in one of the other groups which is eligible for the flu vaccination, for example you have a health condition which puts you at risk from the flu, you will be invited earlier."

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to operate clinics during normal working hours this year, so the clinics will be on an evening and on Saturday mornings.

Now extended - From 1st September 2020, Pharmacies will no longer be able to order prescriptions on behalf of patients. Please contact your local pharmacy for more information.  Please visit the "Prescriptions" page for further information.

Due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus, the Government has advised that all online bookable appointments be removed and made unavailable for the foreseeable future. This is because we do not triage online appointment bookings. Once we have received updates from the Government, we will review the online booking system.
